STIX Hockey’s Grant commits to Plymouth State University
Calgary, AB – STIX Hockey would like to congratulate STIX athlete and Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs forward Robyn Grant on her commitment to the Plymouth State Panthers of the NCAA Div. III’s New England Hockey Conference.
”It’s the coaching and culture of Plymouth State that encouraged my decision to become a Panther,” imparts Ms. Grant on her reasons for committing. “The atmosphere of the campus and athletic facilities were top notch and definitely where I want to continue my hockey career.”
“Coach Mykul Haun is very passionate about the program and I’m looking forward to playing for his team.”
Robyn is in her 2nd season with the Chiefs Midget AAA squad. She will be joining the Panthers beginning in the 2020 Fall semester, and is the 3rd Panther commitment this season under Plymouth State Head Coach Mykul Haun that attended STIX Hockey’s annual Collegiate Exposure Camp last summer. Robyn will be joining fellow STIX athletes Katie Maloney and Bella Borbridge in travelling down south for the 2020-21 academic year.
“Every year STIX has helped me become a better player on and off the ice. With engaging, high performance training as well as top tier coaching, [that] makes the decision of [where to take my] spring development an easy one,” emphasizes Robyn, 17. “Each spring, I continue to enhance my game for the season to come.”
On behalf of STIX Hockey, we’d like to congratulate Robyn on her hard work and commitment, and we wish her and her family all the best in her postsecondary studies!
